    Hi there,

I’m having a number of difficulties with the Pallas theme, and it seems that WPBakery may be the cause – when I try to edit the WPB elements I am presented with an empty window. Within my chosen header I have added the social media icons, but there is no way to edit this element, and I need to configure the links. On my home page I am trying to edit the Categories menu, as I need it to be visible on page load, like the demo, but again when I try to edit I only see an empty window. Screenshots attached.

Thanks in advance for your support.

    Hi,
Please deactivate plugins that our theme don’t require because they can conflict with WPBakery Page Builder
    Thanks

Thanks for the quick response. I had only added a couple, and deactivating them did not resolve the problem.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks

    Hello,
I just check your site and it works well
With Social Icons, You can go to Theme Options >> Footer >> Social Icons for config
With Categories, You can go to Appearance >> Menus and choose Categories Menu for edit items

    Ok thanks.

Social is now ok, sorry, I overlooked that

For the Categories menu, I need this to be visible on page load, like the original template. Right now you have to click the icon for the menu to expand. Also now that I am adding icons, this is removing the text. I need both to appear.

    Thanks

Also, in the original theme, there is a cart section to the right of the search box in the header, called “Mini Cart”. I can see this in WP Bakery, but again, when I open it there are no options – see screenshot attached.

This is a WordPress site, I already sent you the login details, and a link to the site. The home page you see at the-cell.com is the old site that we will be replacing as soon as we finish the WP site, you can ignore that, it has nothing to do with this problem. Here are the details again:

    View site here: http://the-cell.com/cell-home/

    Log in here: http://the-cell.com/wp-admin

    User: cellslu

    Pass: <span class=”s1″>wjwVSgV!k8853SYZAb</span>

    Unresolved problems:

    1. Categories menu needs to be visible on page load, like the original theme – there are no options for this in WP Bakery
    2. When adding icons to Category menu items, this removes the text – I need both to display, like the original theme
    3. Mini Cart does not appear on page, even though it shows up in the back end (Header #1)

Screenshots attached again for all three problems.

1, You can show categories in Theme Options >> Header>> Categories Menu
2, You can clear cache browser for check http://prntscr.com/hm3k9f
3, Mini cart can’t show on your site because http://the-cell.com isn’t Home Page of WordPress
You can create new folder and install your site in new folder(Please copy CSS code in WPBakery >> Custom CSS)
    Thanks

Thanks, clearing the cache fixed #1 and #2, but #3 is still not resolved. I have a file named index.htm, which shows the old site, and a plugin that redirects index.php to index.htm. Why is that stopping the Mini Cart from showing? The Mini Cart is not restricted to the home page, it should show on every page, no?

Mini Cart is the templates that your site load by Javascript(Xhr) and Xhr URL is http://the-cell.com/?wc-ajax=get_refreshed_fragments
But in your site, this link return template HTML, so it can’t show
I think you should create new folder(test) for install, if you want, I can restore backup in our demo site for you
